This simple recipe for spicy garlic tomato cheese ravioli is great for a quick dinner during the week. Red pepper flakes give traditional cheese ravioli a spicy kick that makes them taste even better. Garlic and tomatoes make the sauce rich and fragrant.
Ingredients:
- 1 package cheese ravioli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can 14 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Follow the directions on the package to cook the cheese ravioli
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute, until the garlic smells good
Add the red pepper flakes and diced tomatoes and mix them in
Let the flavors blend for 5 to 7 minutes
When the ravioli is done, add it to the pan with the tomato mixture and gently toss it to coat it
Add pepper and salt to taste
Put grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves on top of the hot dish to serve
